Founded in Florence in 1920, F.I.L.A (Fabbrica Italiana Lapis ed Affini) has been executed by Candela family since 1956 and is continuing to increase its market share as a highly consolidated, dynamic, and innovative Italian industrial corporation.
F.I.L.A has been included in the Star List by the Milan Stock Exchange in 2015.
Having an annual income over 422 million € in 2016, the company has grown considerably over the last twenty years and realized a series of strategic purchases including those of the Italian Adica Pongo, the US Dixon Ticonderoga, the German LYRA, the Mexican Lapiceria Mexicana, the Brazilian Lycin and the English Daler-Rowney Lukas.
It is a leading Italian name on global scale thank to its brands like F.I.L.A; Giotto, Tratto, Das, Didò, Pongo, Lyra, Dooms, Maimeri and Daler.
F.I.L.A has always been focusing on growing in technologic product field and keeping on innovatons, since its foundation.

Our Story
Explore in this film the most important stages of our journey: the historical first pencil was made in Florence; invention of the colors was realized by GIOTTO and the success of Compasso d’Oro came with Tratto Pen. FILA Turkey
The FILA GROUP, a giant in the area of pre-school paint, and writing and modelling instruments, opened its own office in Turkey.
Celebrating this year its 92nd anniversary, FILA, one of the rooted Italian company of Europe, will be operating also in Turkey, after 18 other countries, from 2012 onwards, under the trade name of "FILA Kırtasiye ve Ofis Malzemeleri San. Tic. Ltd. Şti.". Previously having been represented in Turkey through its distributers, the company is going to begin to represent its brands directly in this country.
FILA was born in 1920 in "Fabbrica Italiana Lapis e Affini", its first production plant in Florence, ant the owns today 17 brands and more than 20 writing and creativity categories in 19 countries on three continents.
"FILA has no borders as imagination doesn’t” being its philosophy, the Group produces 98% of its products at 7 factories spread over 3 continents.
